Our mission is to provide best-in-class music education to you as a home-schooled teacher or student. We want you to learn, play and love music. Whether starting with the basics or continuing with previous lessons, we offer courses that fit your needs. You’re welcome to jump right in and explore each of our courses until you find the one that suits your abilities and passions.

It’s time to give up the notion that music is just for talented people. Our goal is to help you ease into a course and make it work for you. Discuss with our people and find out what works for you. Take your burning passion and turn it into a talent that you can share with others.

Become Inspired

We hope that you will feel inspired to make music and play music with increased passion as never before. Your playing will be greatly elevated as you improve your ability to feel the rhythm, melody and harmony that accompany each great composition. In addition to understanding great pieces of music, you will know how these are put together and learn to make your own music.

 

You, the Composer

We want you to become your own composer. While music certainly has rules and patterns, we will teach you that some rules in music were meant to be broken. You will learn how to create music that uses unconventional rhythm, melodies and harmonies to construct a masterpiece. Our courseware will support your development along the way, helping you recognize what you need to know and accomplish. 

What is Your Stance on Homework?

We don’t assign homework in our courses. We know you have a very busy schedule and we won’t overburden you with busy work. We will, however, have you set goals at the beginning of the course and you will learn to work towards those goals. All practice you complete will be completely voluntary to your benefit. If you choose not to practice, we can’t promise any result. However, if you put in the time and effort, we can promise you will learn something new about music every time. 

Can I Participate in Classes?

While we offer an independent study model, there will also be later offerings involving group classes. These will be taught in a webinar format, where the teacher will present an idea or concept and invite the class to participate. Those who choose to participate in these additional group classes will make greater connections with music and others who are studying right alongside.

Climbing the Summit

Becoming familiar with a piece of music can be intimidating. For the uninitiated, it can appear as a summit of Mt. Everest. Our focus on connecting with music is specially designed to remove these mental barriers. We will help you break down these obstacles and enjoy a newfound freedom by understanding music with emotional and physical connection.
